Greek Cucumber Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

2 teaspoons vanilla yogurt
6 ounces Greek yogurt (I recommend plain flavored)
2 cucumbers (cut into slices)
2-3 mint leaves (optional)
2 teaspoons honey
Juice of 1/2 lime
3-5 ice cubes

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, add all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.

Banana Chocolate Smoothie with Lactose Free Milk

For those that are lactose intolerant, here’s a delicious recipe just for you.

Ingredients:

2 large frozen bananas
1 tablespoon dark cocoa powder
2 teaspoons honey
1 1/4 cups lactose-free milk

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, add all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.

Please note: this smoothie will be thick.

Strawberry Pineapple Smoothie

Ingredients:

1/2 to 3/4 cup strawberries
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1 large banana
1/4 cup walnuts

Apple Kale Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

3 small apples
5 kale leaves
1 piece fresh ginger (skin peeled)
1 1/2 cups water

Directions:

1. Chop the apples into medium size pieces (you can either skin them or leave the skin on).

2. In a Vita-Mix blender, blend on high until smooth.

Banana Pumpkin Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

1 banana
1/2 can canned pumpkin (small can)
1 apple
6 ounces vanilla yogurt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup ice

Directions:

1. Peel and chop apple.

2. In a Vita-Mix blender, add all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.

Coconut Banana Smoothie Recipe

This is a great recipe to start your day with. It’s full of vitamins and minerals and will give you a natural energy boost.

Ingredients:

1 cup vanilla coconut milk
1 large banana
1 small container vanilla yogurt
4 cups spinach (you can use less if you wish)

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, add all ingredients and blend on high until desired consistency is reached.

Serve immediately.

Avocado Citrus Smoothie Recipe

This recipe makes 4 servings.

Ingredients:

1 large avocado
2 large bananas
3 oranges
1 cup plain yogurt
2 tablespoons honey
2 cups ice cubes

Directions:

1. Juice the oranges and save the juice.

2. Cut avocado, remove pit and scoop out avocado into blender.

3. Place all ingredients (juice from oranges too) in Vita-Mix blender and blend on high until smooth.

Avocado-Banana Smoothie

This recipe was found on the Martha Stewart website. It sounds interesting – can’t imagine mixing all these ingredients together.

Ingredients

1 avocado
1 banana
1/2 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
1 1/2 cups fresh orange juice (from 3 oranges)
1/4 cup honey
2 1/2 to 3 cups ice

Directions

In a blender, combine avocado, banana, yogurt, orange juice, honey, and ice. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Strawberry Oatmeal Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 to 1 cup frozen strawberries
1/4 cup Quaker Old Fashioned Oatmeal
1/2 tablespoon honey
1/2 cup vanilla flavored yogurt (or Greek yogurt)
1/4 cup milk

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, add all ingredients and blend on high until desired consistency is reached.

Serve immediately.

Note: If you don’t want the smoothie to be lumpy (from the oatmeal) you can grind it in the blender and turn it into ‘dust’ then add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.

Berry Peanut Butter Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

1 large banana
1 cup mixed berries (frozen work best)
1 – 2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup milk

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, add all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.

Serve immediately.
