Chocolate Banana Smoothie

This is another great smoothie recipe for the kids. Anytime chocolate is involved kids come running. But the great thing about this recipe is that there isn't much chocolate in it and there are lots of good things in it.

1 frozen banana, peeled
6 oz. frozen light fat-free vanilla yogurt (if you prefer you can use cherry flavored yogurt)
2 tablespoons Hershey's Chocolate Syrup
4 oz. non-fat milk

Place all ingredients into a Vita-Mix blender. Blend until smooth.

Black & Blue Bomber

I haven't tried this recipe with frozen berries but now that it's winter it's a bit harder to find fresh blueberries and blackberries.

This is a great recipe to make for the kids. Just let them know there is some sorbet in there and they'll be all for it.

2 oz. blueberries
2 oz. blackberries
1 banana
4 oz. apple juice
3 oz. raspberry sorbet

Place all ingredients in a Vita-Mix blender. Blend until your desired consistency is reached.

Banana Orange Twist

Sometimes there just isn't enough time in the morning to sit down to breakfast. But as we all know breakfast is the most important meal of the day. A smoothie is quick to make and a great substitute for a meal. This smoothie is yummy.

3 oz. orange juice concetrate
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
4 oz. milk
4 oz. water
1/2 banana, small and sliced
5 ice cubes

Put orange juice concentrate, vanilla, milk, water and banana in Vita-Mix blender and blend for 15 seconds.

Add icecubes and blend for 2 minutes.

Serve immediately.
