Thanksgiving in Summer Smoothie

Everybody likes pumpkin pie. It doesn’t have to be just a treat that you enjoy during Thanksgiving. If you add a little whipped topping to this recipe you’ll get that Thanksgiving feeling!

Ingredients:

1 banana, peeled and sliced
1/4 cup pumpkin
1 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
2 tablespoons maple syrup
4 ice cubes

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender place the banana and the pumpkin.
Pour in the milk.
Add the pumpkin pie spice and maple syrup.
Put the ice cubes on top.
Put the lid on the blender and on high blend until smooth.

Sweet Potato Smoothie

If you like sweet potatoes this one is for you. I have not tried this recipe but wanted to share it anyway. It sounds interesting and I would love to hear feedback if you give it a try!

Ingredients:

2 sweet potatoes, cooked and cooled
1 banana, peeled and sliced
2 (8 oz) containers vanilla yogurt
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon sugar
10 ice cubes

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender place the sweet potatoes and bananas.
Add the yogurt.
Pour in the milk.
Add the sugar.
Place the ice cubes on top.
Place lid on top and blend until very smooth or desired consistency.

Note: You can make this recipe taste like candied sweet potatoes simply by using brown sugar instead of white sugar. Adjust the amount to ½ teaspoon and enjoy.
