Sugar-Free Strawberry Smoothie

Because this recipe is sugar-free it makes a good ‘treat’ for the kids.

This recipe makes 4 servings (6 ounces each).

Ingredients:

8 ounces nonfat plain yogurt
2 ounces milk (skim)
3 packets sweetener
24 ounces frozen strawberries
8 ounces ice cubes

Directions:

Place yogurt, milk and sweetener in a Vita-Mix blender.

Turn the blender on and while running add berries a few at a time. (Make sure you have the lid on while the blender is running or you’ll have a big mess to clean up. You can add berries through the opening in the lid)

Blend above ingredients until smooth. Once smooth you can add the ice cubes one at a time. Make sure to add ice cubes one at a time through the opening in the lid and blend until a slushy consistency is reached.

Pour into glasses.

Tropical Smoothie

This recipe is great. I really liked the taste this of this one. The flavors all seemed to ‘balance’ one another out. It wasn’t too sweet like I first thought it might be from all the fruits and guava nectar.

Ingredients:

8 ounces guava nectar
8 ounces pineapple chunks
6 ounces frozen peaches
6 ounces frozen strawberries

Directions:

Pour guava nectar into a Vita-Mix blender.

Now put the pineapple, peaches and strawberries into the blender.

Place cover on blender and blend until desired consistency is reached.
