Cranberry Pomegranate Smoothie

This one isn’t technically a smoothie because it does not get mixed up in a blender nor is it smoothie consistency. It’s a great drink though.

3 cups unsweetened cranberry juice
3 cups chilled club soda
6 packets sweetener (no calorie sweetener)

Directions:

Banana Berry Smoothie

Here’s a recipe that is healthy but has a twist of dessert in it. And while sherbet is a dessert item it’s on the healthier side than regular ice cream. But honestly the healthy ingredients outweigh the little bit of sherbet that this recipe calls for.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup apple juice
3/4 cup strawberry nectar
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 banana
1 scoop of raspberry sherbet
1 scoop fat-free vanilla frozen yogurt
1 cup of ice

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a Vita-Mix blender.

Blend on high until desired consistency has been reached.

Fake Orange Julius

As far as I know a ‘true’ orange Julius recipe does not use egg whites or eggs at all. But this is definitely a version of an orange Julius worth trying. I don’t recommend drinking it very often as it has quite a bit of sugar in it but it’s ok once in awhile. It’s all about moderation after all!

Ingredients:

1 cup water
1 cup orange juice
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 egg whites
1/4 cup sugar
1 heaping cup of ice

Directions:

Place water, orange juice, vanilla extract, egg whites, sugar and ice into a Vita-Mix blender.

Blend on high until smooth or desired consistency is reached.

Carrot Smoothie

Carrots are such a healthy snack! They provide so many vitamins, minerals, enzymes, etc that our body needs. So why not try drinking your next serving of carrots?

Ingredients:

12 ounces carrot juice (fresh works best)

2 cups vanilla yogurt
1/2 peeled lime
8 ice cubes

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a Vita-Mix blender and blend on high until smooth.

Chocolate Malt Smoothie
