Spinach Smoothie

Spinach is packed full of vitamins, calcium, iron and cancer fighting agents. It’s great for you but if you have a hard time eating it plain try this recipe. You won’t even know there’s spinach in it because the flavor of banana and strawberry ‘drown’ out the spinach flavor. If it wasn’t the green color this smoothie produces when it’s mixed you’d never know that spinach was one of the ingredients – this makes an easier way to get your kids to eat spinach!

Ingredients:

5 strawberries
1 banana
2 cups spinach
Liquid – Water, milk or some fruit juice

Directions:

Add all ingredients to a Vita-Mix blender and blend on high until smooth.

Note: You can play around this recipe and try different variations of fruit juices. Try it with water. Try it with milk. And of course you can try it with different fruits as well. And if you would like to add a little sweetener to it try dates or sugar.
