Coconut Orange And Pineapple Smoothie

This recipe is fruity and sweet with a hint of coconut. It makes enough to serve two people.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup yogurt (plain or vanilla)
1/2 banana
1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup fresh pineapple
2 tablespoons shredded coconut
1 cup crushed ice

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a Vita-Mix blender.

Make sure lid is securely in place.

Blend on high until smooth.

Serve immediately.

Black And Blue Smoothie

This recipe is all about ‘blue’ and ‘black’ fruits.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup blackberries
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup blueberry pomegranate juice
1 tablespoon honey
1 1/2 cups ice

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a Vita-Mix blender and blend on high until smooth.

Note: You can use frozen fruit if you choose. If you do so, don’t use as much ice.

Mango Kiwi Pineapple Smoothie

The official day of Spring was March 20th. So, let’s kick of Spring with some yummy fruit filled spring time smoothies.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup mango chunks (frozen)
1 kiwi fruit (cut in half and peeled)
1 cup pineapple chunks (frozen)
1 cup peach mango juice

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a Vita-Mix blender.

Blend on high for one minute or until smooth.

Protein Smoothie

If you’re looking for a protein boost here you go, this recipe is for you. If you’re looking for low calorie, this is probably one smoothie you should skip as it is going to have a fairly high calorie count with all the ingredients used.

Ingredients:

1 cup milk
1 cup yogurt (vanilla)
1 banana
2 tablespoons protein powder
2 tablespoons wheat germ
1 tablespoon flax seed oil

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, add the ine the milk, yogurt, banana, wheat germ, flax seed oil and protein powder. Blend until smooth.

Tangy Creamsicle

Here is a recipe your kids will love. It’s just like a creamsicle.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup SUNNYD TANGY ORIGINAL
4 large scoops of vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
Orange slice for garnish

Directions:

Blend first three ingredients together in a blender until rich and creamy.

Split into two glasses, garnish with an orange slice and enjoy.

Jello Smoothie

Jello in a smoothie? Interesting. I have not tried this recipe so if you do, please be sure to comment with your thoughts on it!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup frozen berries (mixed blend – strawberries, raspberries, etc)
1 cup Dole fruit Jello cup
1/4 cup of orange juice
5-6 ice cubes

Directions:

Place all ingredients except ice cubes into a Vita-Mix blender.

Blend on high until smooth.

Now add ice cubes and blend until thickens and ice is crushed completely.

Dr. Oz’s Green Drink Recipe

I’m sure you’re probably familiar with Dr. Oz. He’s always on the Oprah show and everyone knows Oprah. This green drink recipe is something that Dr. Oz says he drinks almost every morning.

Ingredients:

2 apples (cored, but leave the skin on them)
2 BIG handfuls of spinach
1 medium cucumber
3 ribs/sticks of chopped celery (if you’re using Vita-mix, you only need to cut the celery rubs into thirds)
1/2 inch or teaspoon ginger root, peeled
1 bunch parsley
Juice of 1 lime
Juice of 1/2 lemon

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a Vita-Mix blender and blend on high until smooth.

This recipe makes about three to four servings.

St. Patrick’s Day Smoothie

Here’s another recipe you can serve as something green on St. Patrick’s Day if you want to get in the Holiday spirit.

Ingredients:

Milk
Bananas
Strawberries
Vanilla Yogurt
Green Grapes
Green Food Coloring

Note: The amount of bananas, strawberries, yogurt and grapes you will need is going to depend on how many servings you want to make. The more people, the more you’ll need of each item.

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a Vita-Mix blender.

Blend on high for one minute or until smooth. Use as much or as little milk and green food coloring as you wish.

Serve immediately.

Shamrock Smoothie

Here’s another green smoothie you can serve for St. Patrick’s Day.

Ingredients:

1 banana, sliced and frozen
1 cup frozen green grapes
1 peeled kiwi, sliced
1 cup washed baby spinach
8 ounces lime yogurt
1/4 cup limeade

Directions:

Put all the fruit into the blender. Add the yogurt and limeade. Blend until smooth and serve.

St. Patrick’s Day Smoothie Desert

Here’s one more St. Patrick’s Day smoothie recipe. This one sounds delicious!

This recipe makes 4 servings

Ingredients:

Banana chunks – 2 cups, frozen
Kiwi – 2, peeled and cut into chunks
Lime yogurt or frozen lime sherbet – 2 cups

Directions:

1. Put all the ingredients in blender and blend for approx 40 seconds or until smooth

2. Pour into the glasses, garnish top with a slice of kiwi and Serve chilled.
