Avocado Avalanche

Ingredients:

1 large avocado
2 teaspoons milk
8-10 ice cubes

Directions:

Scrape the insides of the avocado into a Vita-Mix blender.

Add the milk.

Add the ice cubes.

Blend on high until smooth.

Note: To make this sweeter tasting you can use condensed milk instead of regular milk.

Apples and Cream Smoothie Recipe

Here’s a smoothie that tastes like apple pie. For a healthier version use low-fat ice cream and low-fat milk.

Ingredients:
(this recipe makes 4 servings)

16 ounces vanilla ice cream
8 ounces applesauce
1/4 teaspoon apple pie spice
8 ounces milk
Ground cinnamon to taste (optional)

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender add the ice cream, applesauce, and the apple pie spice. Cover and blend until smooth.

Now add the milk. Cover and blend about 30 seconds.

Serve immediately & garnish with ground cinnamon.

Cocoa Powder and Fruit Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 orange (peeled and seeds removed)
1 banana
8 ounces frozen strawberries
4 ounces orange juice
4 ounces frozen yogurt
1 teaspoon cocoa powder

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a Vita-Mix blender and blend on high until smooth.

Serve immediately.

Four Fruits Smoothie Recipe

This is a healthy smoothie that you can alter the ingredients to your liking, using any fruits you wish!

Ingredients:
(this recipe makes approximately 4 servings)

1 cup vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup pineapple chunks
2 kiwi fruit, peeled and cut into chunks
1 cup Orange Juice
1 large banana, cut into chunks
1 cup strawberries
1 tablespoon honey

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, add all the ingredients. Blend on high until smooth and serve immediately.

Apple Pie Smoothie Recipe

If you’re looking for a great tasting smoothie, give this one a try. The cinnamon makes it taste just like an apple pie.

Ingredients:
(this recipe makes one serving)

2 tablespoons apple juice concentrate
8 ounces milk
1/2 whole green apple, seeded and cut into pieces
1/2 cup nonfat yogurt
Dash ground cinnamon

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, add all the ingredients and blend until smooth.

Tofu And Fruit Smoothie

Ingredients:
(this recipe makes approximately 4 servings)

1/2 cup orange juice
1/4 cup honey
1/4 package Tofu
1/2 banana
3/4 cup frozen fruit of choice
1 cup ice

Directions:

In a Vita-mix blender, add the orange juice, honey, tofu, banana and frozen fruit. Blend on high for 30 seconds.

Now add the ice. Blend until smooth.

Healthy Orange Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 orange peeled and separated
3/4 cup sliced peaches (if canned use juice also)
1 cup orange yogurt
1/2 cup ice cubes

Directions:

Blend in blender until smooth. Substitute peaches with different fruit such as banana or a can of mandarin oranges, if desired.

Green Smoothie Concoction

This smoothie tasted much better than it looks. If you make it you will need to add some sort of juice to make it thinner – maybe orange juice would work and then you wouldn’t have to worry about the seeds in an orange. I didn’t add any juice and it was really really thick (too thick to even drink through the straw!).

Ingredients:
(this makes one serving)

1 papaya
1 mango
handful spinach
1 orange (be careful of the seeds)

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, add all ingredients.

Blend on high until smooth.

Berry Julius Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 cup raspberry yogurt
3/4 cup milk
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1/3 cup powdered milk

Directions

Combine yogurt and milk in a Vita-Mix blender. Add the rest of the ingredients. Blend on high until smooth.

The Berry Best Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups frozen mixed berries
2-3 small scoops of fruit-flavored sherbert
1/2 – 1 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon sugar
5 ice cubes

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a Vita-Mix blender.

Blend on high until smooth.

Pour into glass (makes 1 serving) and serve immediately.
