Jello Smoothie Recipe

Here is a great smoothie recipe that your kids will love.

Ingredients:

1 (10 1/3 g) package sugar-free jello
1/2 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
1 cup crushed ice
1 1/2 cups fat-free cool whip

Directions:

1. In blender, mix boiling water and jello mi until dissolved.

2. Combine cold water with ice.

3. Add with cool whip to mixture in blender until smooth.

4. Serve immediately.

5. Makes 2 large or 4 small servings.

Strawberry Jello Smoothie Recipe

Here’s a great tasting low calorie smoothie recipe you can enjoy any time of the year.

Ingredients:
(makes 2 large serving sized glasses or 4 small serving sized glasses)

1 small package sugar-free strawberry jello
1/2 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
1 cup crushed ice
1 1/2 cups fat-free cool whip

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, mix boiling water and jello until dissolved.

Combine cold water with ice.

Add cool whip to mixture in blender until smooth.

Serve immediately.

Halloween Bubbling Brew Recipe

Happy Halloween! If you’re taking your kids out trick or treating tonight, be safe! This recipe isn’t a smoothie, but in honor of Halloween it’s a great fun kid friendly drink.

Ingredients:

1 cup boiling water
2 packages lime flavored gelatin
3 cups cold water
1 1/2 quart lemon-lime soda, chilled
1/2 cup superfine sugar
***Wormy Floaters***
1 cup gummy worms
water

Directions:

Place 1 cup of the gummy worms in one or more ice cube trays, snipping worms as needed to fit. Fill trays with water and freeze overnight.

Pour 1 cup boiling water over lime gelatin in a pitcher; stir until gelatin dissolves. Stir in cold water. Add lemon-lime soda and sugar; stir well until sugar is dissolved.

Serve punch in glasses with Wormy Floaters and garnished with additional gummy worms.

Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie

Here’s a delicious alternative to strawberry cheesecake, but it tastes just like it.

(This recipe makes 3 servings)

Ingredients:

10 ounces frozen sliced strawberries
3 ounces cream cheese
1 pint vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup milk

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, add all the ingredients and blend on high until smooth.

Purple Cow Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

2 cups vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup grape soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
10 ice cubes
1/2 to 1 cup milk (optional)

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender add the ice cream, grape soda, vanilla extract and ice cubes. Blend until smooth.

Note: If the mixture is too thick you can add 1/2 cup to 1 cup milk to the mixture and blend until desired consistency is achieved.

Orange Halloween Smoothie Recipe

Here’s another smoothie recipe sure to be a hit with your little Halloween ghost and goblins.

Ingredients:

1 Orange
2 cups frozen orange sherbet
1 cup milk or yogurt
Finely crushed Oreos
Variety of candy corn

Directions:

1. Peel Oranges and mix in food processor
2. Add Orange sherbet and milk or yogurt and blend until smooth
3. Pour into decorative Halloween glasses.
4. Garnish with finely crushed Oreos and Candy Corn.

Autumn Punch recipe

While this isn’t a smoothie recipe, I wanted to share this recipe that I came across just recently. It’s perfect for this time of year – the chilly, rainy, Autumn season.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups honey
3/4 cup lemon juice
6 whole cardamom seeds
3 3 inch cinnamon sticks
1 tsp whole allspice
2 tsp whole cloves
1 1/2 quart cranberry juice
5 cups apple cider
5 cups apricot nectar
3 quart ginger ale
ice crushed

Directions:

Combine first 6 ingredients in a saucepan; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes. Strain and discard spices. Chill. Combine chilled mixture with remaining juices and ginger ale. Serve over crushed ice. Yield: 7-1/2 quarts.

Non-Alcholic Irish Cream Smoothie

Here’s a way to enjoy the great tasting Irish Cream without alcohol. This recipe is for a single serving so if you want it to serve more, use more ingredients.

Ingredients:

Chocolate syrup
1 tsp. non-alcoholic amaretto flavored syrup
3 tsp. non-alcoholic Irish cream flavored syrup
Splash of milk
3 scoops vanilla ice cream

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, place the three scoops of vanilla ice cream.

Add a splash of milk. (Note: The more milk you use the runnier it will be, the less you use the thicker it will be)

Blend on high for 30 seconds.

Add the non-alcoholic amaretto & Irish cream syrup and the chocolate syrup.

Blend until the syrups are completely mixed.

Pour into serving glass and garnish with whipped cream & chocolate syrup.

Hershey Candy Bar Smoothie

Kids want ice cream but you don’t feel like hitting up the local ice cream shop and forking over a ton of cash? Let them have their ice cream fix…just do it at home on the cheap.

Ingredients:

1 cup milk
Hershey’s chocolate syrup
2 Hershey’s milk chocolate candy bars
1 cup vanilla ice cream
1 – 2 cups ice

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, add milk, chocolate syrup (as much or as little as you wish), candy bars (broken into pieces), ice cream and ice.

Blend on high for 30 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.

Banana Watermelon Smoothie

Here’s another recipe that calls for ice-cream, a great summertime treat!

This recipe makes 2 servings.

Ingredients:

1 slice watermelon
1 apple (cored)
1 banana
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
5-10 cubes of ice

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, add the apple and blend for 10 seconds.

Add the banana and blend for 10 seconds.

Add the watermelon and blend for 10 seconds.

Poor this (apple, banana and watermelon) into a cup or bowl.

Put ice cubes in blender and blend for 20 seconds.

Add the mix (apple, banana & watermelon) back into the blender and blend on high for 25 seconds.

Add the ice cream and blend for 20 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.

Serve immediately.

Note: You can garnish with a few pieces of fruit by putting small pieces of watermelon and apple on a tooth pick.
