Apple Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

1 large red or granny smith apple (cored and sliced)
1 cup apple juice
1 container (small – single serving size) vanilla yogurt
1 tablespoon sugar or sugar substitute like Equal
1/2 cup ice cubes

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender add all ingredients and blend on high for one minute or until desired consistency is reached.

Non Alcoholic Strawberry Colada

If you are looking for a yummy fruity non-alcoholic drink this recipe is perfect.

Ingredients:

1 small container vanilla yogurt
1/3 cup cream of coconut
1/2 cup fresh strawberries (hulled)
1 1/4 cups pineapple (crushed in juice)

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, add all ingredients and blend on high until smooth.

Raspberry Lemonade Smoothie

This is a great recipe to beat the summertime heat. But now that spring is in the air, why wait until summer?

Ingredients:

1 cup raspberries
1 cup lemonade
1 cup lemon yogurt
2 cups of ice

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender add all ingredients except ice and blend on high until smooth.

Add the ice and blend on high until smooth.

Serve immediately.

Low Carb Orange-Banana Smoothie Recipe

Here is another recipe you can use if you’re craving a smoothie but following a low carb diet.

Ingredients:

1 large orange (make sure it’s unseeded and sliced)
1 large banana
1/2 cup low fat vanilla yogurt
1 cup orange juice
6 ice cubes

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender add the orange juice, yogurt, banana and orange. Blend on high until well blended.

Now add the ice cubes and blend on high again until smooth.

Banana Cherry Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

2 large bananas (cut into chunks)
1 1/2 cups frozen cherries (pitted)
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 cup vanilla yogurt
10 ice cubes
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender place all ingredients and blend on high until desired consistency is reached.

Peach and Banana Smoothie Recipe

This is a great summertime recipe.

Ingredients:

4 fresh peaches
1 large frozen banana
1 cup vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup water (or juice of some sort like orange)

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender add all the ingredients and blend on high until smooth or desired consistency is reached.

Avocado and Raspberry Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:
(This recipe makes 2 servings)

3/4 cup orange juice
3/4 cup raspberry juice
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1 avocado, peeled and pitted

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender add the orange juice, raspberry juice, raspberries and avocado. Puree until smooth.

Serve immediately.

Coconut Raspberry Chocolate Smoothie

Here is another recipe with everyone’s favorite – chocolate!

Ingredients:

1 – 2 tablespoons shredded coconut
5 ounces coconut water
1 small container vanilla yogurt (single serving size)
3 ounces dark chocolate
4 ounces fresh raspberries

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a Vita-Mix blender and blend on high until smooth.

Strawberry Chocolate Smoothie

This is a great summer treat for kids (and adults). Get them to eat some fruits disguised by chocolate!

Ingredients:

1 cup vanilla yogurt
2 large bananas (frozen work best)
1 cup strawberries (frozen work best)
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a Vita-Mix blender and blend on high for one minute or unti smooth.

Serve immediately.

Berry Patch Smoothie

Ingredients:

3 scoops vanilla ice cream
4 ounces fresh blueberries
4 ounces fresh raspberries
4 ounces fresh strawberries
3/4 cup milk

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender add all the ingredients and blend on high until smooth or desired consistency is reached.

Garnish with fresh berries.
