Lemonade Watermelon Slushie Recipe

This recipe is more of a slushie type drink but it’s still sure to be a huge hit with the kids – both young and old. It’s a good recipe to help beat the summer heat. And it’s a great recipe for birthday parties, barbecues – anywhere you’ll have a large gathering of people as it will make quite a few servings.

Ingredients:

8 cups watermelon (cubed & seeded)
1 can (6 ounces) frozen lemonade concentrate (thawed)
1/4 cup powdered sugar (sifted)
Mint sprigs (optional)

Directions:

Several Hours In Advance:

Place watermelon in a large bowl cover and freeze.

When Ready to Serve:

Take half of the frozen watermelon, half of the powdered sugar and half of the frozen concentrate and place in a Vita-Mix blender.

Replace lid and make sure it’s securely in place.

Blend on high until smooth.

(Repeat with remaining ingredients until gone or enough servings have been made)

Orange Raspberry Smoothie

This recipe will make about 4 servings.

Ingredients:

1 cup raspberry yogurt
1 cup vanilla yogurt (frozen)
1 cup orange juice
1/2 frozen banana
1 1/2 cups frozen raspberries

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a Vita-Mix blender.

Make sure lid is securely in place.

Blend on low for one minute.

Blend on high until smooth.

Mango Coconut Smoothie

Ingredients:

2 coconuts peeled
2 mangoes peeled
1/2 cup of milk
Ice Cubes

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a Vita-Mix blender and blend on high until smooth.

Fruit And Blueberry Yogurt Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 Cup of milk
1 Cup blueberries, strawberries or peaches
Carton of Blueberry yogurt
1/2 cup ice cubes

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a Vita-Mix blender and blend on high until smooth.

Banana Smoothie

Instructions:

1/2 cup orange juice
1 can pineapple juice
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
2 bananas
2 ice cubes

Directions:

Place peeled bananas in Vita-Mix blender. Add orange juice, vanilla yogurt, pineapple juice and ice cubes.

Blend on high until smooth.

Barry Zito Smoothie

This recipe comes from Major League Baseball pitcher Barry Zito.

Ingredients:

2 cups of various frozen berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
2 cups of vanilla rice milk
2 scoops of whey protein
1/2 packet of Stevia

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a Vita-Mix blender and blend on high until smooth.

Non Dairy Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 cup frozen berries
1 scoop of whey powder
1 pack of Stevia
1 tablespoon flaxseed oil
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
1 teaspoon unsweetened cranberry juice
8 ice cubes
1 cup water

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a Vita-Mix blender. Blend on high until smooth.

Vanilla Cherry Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 cup milk
2 cups frozen cherries
2 cups frozen raspberries
2 cups vanilla yogurt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a Vita-Mix blender.

Replace lid and make sure it’s securely in place.

Blend on high until smooth.

Note: You can make this a low-fat version if you use skim milk and unsweetened berries.

Tofu And Strawberries Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 cup soft Tofu
1/2 cup strawberries
1/2 cup soy milk
1/2 a banana
1/2 cup soy yogurt

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender blend the tofu, soy milk, yogurt, half the strawberries, and banana just until smooth.

Now add the remaining strawberries and blend until desired consistency is reached.

Soy Fruit Smoothie

If you prefer soy milk over regular here’s a recipe just for you.

Ingredients:

1 banana
1/2 cup strawberries
1/2 cup raspberries
1/2 cup cherries (pitted)
1 cup of soy milk
1/2 cup soy yogurt

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a Vita-Mix blender.

Blend until smooth.
