Yogurt Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup flax seeds
1/4 cup Davinci Syrup, any flavor
1 cup frozen strawberries
10 ice cubes

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a Vita-Mix blender.

Blend on high until smooth.

Serve immediately.

Green Goblin Smoothie Recipe

Looking for a way to make your little ones drink a green smoothie? Halloween is a perfect way to introduce it to them, especially when it’s served with chocolate ‘eyeballs’ on top!

Ingredients:

1 cup Apple juice
1 cup Pineapple juice
1 Kiwi (peeled)
1 banana
1/2 avocado
Large handful of spinach

Directions:

Put everything together into a blender and puree until it is all smooth. Serve with eyeballs!

Nutmeg Apple Smoothie Recipe

They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away so, enjoy this recipe!

Ingredients:

1 apple (peeled, cored & chopped)
7 ounces apple juice
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (or cinnamon if you prefer)

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, add the apple, apple juice and nutmeg. Blend on high until smooth.

Serve immediately.

Apple Peach Smoothie

This recipe makes 4 servings. You can use less ingredients to make fewer servings if you wish. The almond extract is used to add a little ‘extra’ dose of flavor. If you wish, you can skip it.

Ingredients:

2 (8 ounces each) cartons peach yogurt
1 (6 ounce) can frozen apple juice concentrate
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
4 ice cubes

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, place all the ingredients.

Blend on high until desired consistency is reached.

Serve immediately.

Fruit Salad Smoothie

Here’s another delicious smoothie recipe. Enjoy!

This will make 3-4 servings

Ingredients:

1 cup vanilla yogurt
1 cup Orange Juice
1 cup cup pineapple
1 cup strawberries
1 cup cantaloupe
1 banana (cut into chunks)
2 kiwi fruit (peeled and cut into chunks)
1 1/2 tablespoons honey (more/less depending on your liking & how sweet you want to make it – just remember fruit has a natural sweetness to it so you probably don’t want to use a lot of honey)

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, place all ingredients.

Puree until smooth.

Serve immediately.

Orange Pear Smoothie with a Kick

Need a pick me up in the morning? Give this smoothie a try. It’s sure to get your motor running.

Ingredients:

1 large pear
1 large orange
dash of Cayenne pepper (or some sort of ‘hot’ pepper)
5 ice cubes

Directions:

Juice the orange so you have fresh juice.

Add the pear, fresh orange juice, pepper and ice cubes.

Blend on high until smooth.

Serve immediately.

Banana Boat Smoothie

Here’s a nice and refreshing smoothie.

Ingredients:

2 bananas
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup yogurt (vanilla or plain flavored work best)
1 can of pineapple juice (small single serving size can)
2 ice cubes

Directions:

Peel bananas and place in blender.

Add orange juice.

Add yogurt.

Add pineapple juice.

Add ice.

Blend on high for 30 seconds.

Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie

Here’s another great morning time smoothie to help get moving in the mornings.

Ingredients:

2/3 cup blueberries
1 large banana
1/2 cup plain or vanilla flavored yogurt
1/2 cup blueberry fruit juice
5-6 ice cubes

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a Vita-Mix blender and blend on high until smooth.

Fruit Paradise Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 large slice of watermelon (cut into cubes)
1 apple (cored and sliced into 4)
1 banana (peeled and sliced into 4)
2 scoops of vanilla ice-cream
5 – 10 cubes of ice

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, blend the apple, banana and watermelon for approximately 30 seconds.

Take this liquid (from the apple, banana & watermelon) and pour into a cup and set aside.

Now add the ice and crush it – about 30 seconds.

Pour the liquid that you sat aside back into the Vita-Mix blender with the ice and puree for 20 seconds.

Pour into glasses, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and enjoy!

Four Fruits Smoothie

The back to school morning rush has started. Smoothies are a quick way to make sure your kids are getting the most important (and lots of nutrition) meal of the day – breakfast!

Ingredients:

1 large slice cantaloupe
2 ounces raspberries
1 large slice watermelon
1 large slice muskmelon
1/2 cup plain yogurt
5 ounces cranberry juice

Directions:

In a Vita-Mix blender, add the cantaloupe, watermelon and muskmelon followed by the raspberries then the cranberry juice and yogurt.

Blend on high for 30 seconds to one minute or until desired consistency is reached.
