Groovy Green Smoothie

When it comes to getting your kids to eat fruit it isn’t always an easy task. It might be a little easier to get them to drink their fruits so give this groovy green smoothie a shot!

Ingredients:

1 banana, cut in chunks
1 cup grapes
1 (6 ounce) tub vanilla yogurt
1/2 apple, cored and chopped
1 1/2 cups fresh spinach leaves

Directions:

Place the banana, grapes, yogurt, apple and spinach into a blender. Cover, and blend until smooth, stopping frequently to push down anything stuck to the sides. Pour into glasses and serve.

  1. I made this for my kids this morning. It was funny because they looked at the color and wasn’t quite sure about it but then took a taste. They really liked it. I added a little Stevia to it to sweeten it up a little. I used a Greek plain yogurt and added vanilla extract since I didn’t have any vanilla yogurt on hand. But I usually stay away from the flavored yogurts because of the sugar content or the unhealthy sweeteners.
    It turned out good though, and I’ll definitely be making it again.
